Last week we recapped a little of what we covered throughout the gospels.  We looked at how the apostles reacted to the proclamation that Jesus had risen from the dead.  To be honest, they did not handle the situation very well.  Jesus had been telling them all along that he was going to raise himself from the grave, but they did not believe it even when they heard about it afterward.  This was certainly not the brightest moment in the apostles lives as disciples of Christ, but the story did not end there.

Jesus had been teaching the apostles and preparing them for 3 years, and it was finally their time to shine.  After the apostles received the gifts of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, their behavior changed dramatically.  They truly began teaching others about the gospel as if that was the only thing that mattered in the world.

We are going to take a look at discipleship and see examples of how the apostles taught others and prepared them to teach as well. We must remember that educating people about the gospel does not  end with that person, we must prepare them to teach others.

Come join us as we fellowship and examine God’s word together!
