(ESV) , Paul urges Timothy to devote himself to preaching, teaching, and the public reading of scripture. In the 21st century church, the majority of our meetings focus on preaching and teaching, but neglect the reading of scripture.
This Sunday we are going to try to get back to the public reading of scripture that Paul was talking about. We will being by going over some background information about 1 Timothy and summarize the main points throughout the letter before reading the letter from beginning to end. So bring your water bottles and your best reading voices and we will dive into the scriptures together!
