Jesus says here, “I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God”. We know that Christ came to establish his kingdom, and that kingdom is the church.
As a part of God’s kingdom it is important to understand, and then implement what God has planned for his church. If we are not striving to follow the biblical pattern of a New Testament church, we are showing our lack of faith in God’s word. This is a slippery slope that has caused the downfall of many congregations.
This week we will take a look at the foundational leadership of a congregation, especially the elders’ roles, responsibilities, and rewards.
